Leticia Acosta, Director, Human Resources

Leticia AcostaLeticia Acosta

Ms. Acosta joined DoubleLine in 2010. She is a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management.  Prior to joining DoubleLine, Ms. Acosta was a Vice President with Goldman Sachs.  During her 22-year tenure in Goldman’s Los Angeles office, she held several different positions within both the Securities and Investment Management Divisions.  In addition, Ms. Acosta had responsibility for HR administration across all divisions within the office. Ms. Acosta attended Occidental College with a focus on Mathematics.

Henry Chase, MS, CPA, Chief Financial Officer, Controller

Mr. Chase joined DoubleLine in 2010. He is a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management. Before joining DoubleLine, Mr. Chase was a partner in the Southern California practice of Tatum, LLC for ten years. He previously served five years as President of US Flywheel Systems and seven years as Chief Financial Officer for 1928 Jewelry Company. Previously, he worked ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles, serving a number of clients in the financial services industry. Mr. Chase holds a MS in Finance from San Diego State University and a BS in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Youse Guia, Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Guia joined DoubleLine in February 2018 and serves as the Chief Compliance Officer of the DoubleLine Funds, DoubleLine Capital LP and DoubleLine Equity LP. Prior to joining DoubleLine in 2018, Mr. Guia was an Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Pacific Investment Management Company. He was also the Chief Compliance Officer for the PIMCO Sponsored Closed-End Funds and the Managed Accounts Trust. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2014, Mr. Guia was the Head of Compliance for Allianz Global Investors and the Chief Compliance Officer for the Allianz Funds from September 2004 through February 2014. Mr. Guia also worked six years as an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in the investment management industry, prior to joining Allianz Global Investors in 2002. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and earned his BS in Business Administration with a major in accounting, from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Jeffrey Gundlach, Chief Executive Officer

Jeffrey Gundlach is the Chief Executive Officer of DoubleLine. He is recognized as an expert1 in bonds and other debt-related investments. In 2011, he appeared on the cover of Barron's as "The New Bond King".  In 2012, Bloomberg Markets magazine named him one of the "50 Most Influential". In 2013, Mr. Gundlach was named "Money Manager of the Year" by Institutional Investor. In 2015, Bloomberg Markets magazine again named him one of the "50 Most Influential". Mr. Gundlach is a graduate of Dartmouth College, summa cum laude, with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy.

Earl Lariscy, General Counsel

Mr. Lariscy serves DoubleLine as General Counsel, Director of Corporate Governance and a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management. Prior to joining DoubleLine in 2010, Mr. Lariscy was a Director and Agency General Manager of Barclays Capital’s California based banking operations. He also worked in the Legal Department at TCW and in the New York office of Linklaters. Mr. Lariscy has a JD from Tulane School of Law, a Masters in International Business from the University of South Carolina and a BS in Finance from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the bar in California, the District of Columbia and Florida.

Casey Moore, Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Moore joined DoubleLine in 2009 and is a member of the Executive Management. As Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for all information technology, including application development, systems integration,  technical infrastructure, and disaster recovery. Prior to DoubleLine, he was an Assistant Vice President at TCW and focused on application development. He was initially hired at TCW as an enterprise database architect and later joined the Mortgage Backed Securities Group where he concentrated on developing RMBS analytic systems. Prior to TCW, he was a developer for Albertsons, where he created systems to forecast sales and manage labor budgets. Mr. Moore holds a BS in Management Information Systems from California State University, Bakersfield.

Ronald Redell, President, DoubleLine Group LP & DoubleLine Funds, Director, Global Relationship Management

Mr. Redell is President of DoubleLine Group LP and DoubleLine Funds Trust. As President of DoubleLine Group, He oversees the Executive Committee consisting of the heads of all operational departments within the firm, as well as the development of DoubleLine’s Global Sales business and distribution lines. Prior to DoubleLine, he served as President and CEO of TCW Funds, Inc. and TCW Strategic Income Fund, Inc. Previous to that, Mr. Redell was Vice President of Marketing for RS Investment Management, formerly Robertson Stephens, where he was in charge of the firm's retail Mutual Fund sales and marketing effort through intermediaries. He began his career in finance as a Financial Consultant with Wells Fargo Securities. Mr. Redell holds a BA in Political Science from Stanford University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and is a CFA charterholder.

Cris Santa Ana III, Chief Risk Officer

Mr. Santa Ana joined DoubleLine as the Chief Operating Officer in 2009, and now serves as the firm’s Chief Risk Officer and is an officer of DoubleLine Funds Trust.  Mr. Santa Ana’s day-to-day duties include the oversight of trading operations and portfolio risk analytic teams. He also serves as a member of the Executive Management and various subcommittees which oversee and review business functions and enterprise risk across the firm.  Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Santa Ana was most recently a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of TCW’s Mortgage-Backed Securities Group.  During his 15-year tenure at TCW, Mr. Santa Ana held various management positions starting in Domestic Fixed Income Operations overseeing portfolio accounting, reporting, compliance, and trading support for the Mortgage-Backed Securities and High Yield portfolio groups.  Mr. Santa Ana received his BA in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Sherman, CFA, Deputy Chief Investment Officer

As DoubleLine’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Jeffrey Sherman oversees and administers DoubleLine’s Investment Management sub-committee coordinating and implementing policies and processes across the investment teams. He also serves as lead portfolio manager for multi-sector and derivative-based strategies.  He is a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management and Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committees.  He can be heard regularly on his podcast “The Sherman Show” (@ShermanShowPod) where he interviews distinguished guests, giving listeners insight into DoubleLine’s current views.  In 2018, Money Management Executive named Jeffrey Sherman as one of “10 Fund Managers to Watch” in their yearly special report.  Prior to joining DoubleLine in 2009, he was a Senior Vice President at TCW where he worked as a portfolio manager and quantitative analyst focused on fixed income and real-asset portfolios. Mr. Sherman was a statistics and mathematics instructor at both the University of the Pacific and Florida State University. He taught Quantitative Methods for Level I candidates in the CFA LA/USC Review Program for many years.  He holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Pacific and an MS in Financial Engineering from the Claremont Graduate University. He is a CFA charterholder.

Patrick Townzen, Director, Operations

Mr. Townzen joined DoubleLine in 2012.  He serves as the firm’s Director of Operations, with responsibility for overseeing the DoubleLine’s Operations Group and is a member of the Executive Committee.  Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Townzen served in a variety of roles within the Operations and Analytics and Risk Management departments at Western Asset Management.  Mr. Townzen holds a BS in Economics from the University of Redlands.

Barbara VanEvery, Director, Investor Services

Ms. VanEvery joined DoubleLine in 2009 where she oversees the Investor Services Group which includes Communications and Client Service.  Ms. VanEvery is a member of the firm’s Executive Management. Prior to DoubleLine, she was a Senior Vice President at TCW for sixteen years where she was responsible for marketing, investor relations and communications for both the retail and institutional efforts for all mortgage-related and multi-strategy fixed income product areas. Previously, she worked with Provident Life & Accident Insurance, where she specialized in client relations and account management. Ms. VanEvery holds a BA in Political Science from California State University at San Diego.
