Mr. Chase joined DoubleLine in 2010. He serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the Finance team, and Treasurer of the Registered Funds and ETFs. Mr. Chase is also a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, he was a partner in the Southern California practice of Tatum LLC for 10 years. Mr. Chase previously served five years as President of US Flywheel Systems and seven years as Chief Financial Officer for 1928 Jewelry Company. Prior to that, he worked 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles, serving a number of clients in the financial services industry. Mr. Chase holds a B.S. in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. in Finance from San Diego State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a licensed CPA (inactive).
Ms. Elam joined DoubleLine in 2012. She serves as the firm’s Chief Human Resources Officer overseeing the Human Resources Group and is a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Elam was the HR Records Manager at TBWA\Chiat\Day advertising agency. Previous to that, she worked for Smith Barney/Citigroup as Vice President of Operations. Ms. Elam's prior experience also includes over twenty years at Goldman Sachs where, at the time of her departure, she was Vice President and Regional Office Administrator for its Memphis office.
Mr. Guia joined DoubleLine in 2018 as the Chief Compliance Officer of the DoubleLine Funds, DoubleLine Capital LP, DoubleLine Equity LP and DoubleLine ETF Adviser LP. He is also a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Guia was an Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Compliance Officer at Pacific Investment Management Company. He was also the Chief Compliance Officer for the PIMCO Sponsored Closed-End Funds and the Managed Accounts Trust. Previous to PIMCO, Mr. Guia was the Head of Compliance for Allianz Global Investors and the Chief Compliance Officer for the Allianz Funds. He also worked as an Audit Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in the investment management industry, prior to Allianz Global Investors. Mr. Guia is a CPA® (inactive) and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Mr. Gundlach is CEO of DoubleLine. In 2011, he appeared on the cover of Barron's as "The New Bond King." In 2013, Institutional Investor named him "Money Manager of the Year." In 2012, 2015 and 2016, he was named one of "The Fifty Most Influential" in Bloomberg Markets. In 2017, he was inducted into the FIASI Fixed Income Hall of Fame. Mr. Gundlach is a summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy.
Mr. Lariscy joined DoubleLine in 2010. He serves as General Counsel, Director of Corporate Governance and is a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Lariscy was a Director and Agency General Manager of Barclays Capital’s California based banking operations. Previous to that, he worked in the Legal Department at TCW and in the New York office of Linklaters. Mr. Lariscy holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Florida, an M.S. in International Business from the University of South Carolina and a JD from Tulane School of Law. He is a member of the bar in the District of Columbia and Florida, and Registered In-House Counsel in California.
Mr. Moore joined DoubleLine at its inception in 2009 and is a member of the firm’s Executive Management Committee. As Chief Technology Officer, he oversees DoubleLine’s technology, including systems and data selection, application development and integration, data center architecture, disaster recovery, and information security. Mr. Moore is also a permanent member of DoubleLine’s Operational Risk and Responsible Investment Advisory Committees. Prior to joining DoubleLine, he was an Assistant Vice President at TCW, where he worked as an application developer focused on MBS and CDO analytics systems. Mr. Moore holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from California State University, Bakersfield.
Mr. Redell joined DoubleLine at its inception in 2009 as President of DoubleLine Group LP and DoubleLine Funds Trust. As President of DoubleLine Group, he oversees the Executive Committee consisting of all operational department leaders within the firm, as well as the development of DoubleLine’s Global Sales business and distribution lines. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Redell served as President and CEO of TCW Funds, Inc. and TCW Strategic Income Fund, Inc. Previous to that, he was Vice President of Marketing for RS Investment Management, formerly Robertson Stephens, where he was in charge of the firm's retail mutual fund sales and marketing effort through intermediaries. Mr. Redell began his career in finance as a Financial Consultant with Wells Fargo Securities. He holds a BA in Political Science from Stanford University. Mr. Redell is a member of the CFA® Society of Los Angeles and is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Santa Ana joined DoubleLine in 2009 serving as the firm’s Chief Risk Officer. He is an officer of DoubleLine Funds Trust and also serves as a member of the Executive Management and various subcommittees which oversee and review business functions and enterprise risk across the firm. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Santa Ana was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of TCW’s Mortgage-Backed Securities Group. During his tenure at TCW, he held various management positions starting in Domestic Fixed Income Operations overseeing portfolio accounting, reporting, compliance, and trading support for the Mortgage-Backed Securities and High Yield portfolio groups. Mr. Santa Ana holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
As DoubleLine’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Jeffrey Sherman oversees and administers DoubleLine’s Investment Management sub-committee coordinating and implementing policies and processes across the investment teams. He also serves as lead portfolio manager for multi-sector and derivative-based strategies. Mr. Sherman is a member of DoubleLine’s Executive Management and Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committees. He can be heard regularly on his podcast “The Sherman Show” (Twitter @ShermanShowPod, ShermanShow@Doubleline.com) where he interviews distinguished guests, giving listeners insight into DoubleLine’s current views. In 2018, Money Management Executive named Jeffrey Sherman as one of “10 Fund Managers to Watch” in its yearly special report. Prior to joining DoubleLine in 2009, Mr. Sherman was a Senior Vice President at TCW where he worked as a portfolio manager and quantitative analyst focused on fixed income and real-asset portfolios. He was a statistics and mathematics instructor at both the University of the Pacific and Florida State University. Mr. Sherman taught Quantitative Methods for Level I candidates in the CFA LA/USC Review Program for many years. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Pacific and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from the Claremont Graduate University. Mr. Sherman is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Townzen joined DoubleLine in 2012. He serves as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for overseeing DoubleLine’s Operations Group and is a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Townzen served in a variety of roles within the Operations and Analytics and Risk Management departments at Western Asset Management. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Redlands.
Ms. VanEvery joined DoubleLine in 2009. She is the Chief Marketing Officer overseeing the Investor Services Group which includes Client Service, Communications, Product Specialists and the RFP teams. Ms. VanEvery is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, she was a Senior Vice President at TCW where she was responsible for marketing, investor relations and communications for both the retail and institutional efforts for all mortgage-related and multi-strategy fixed income product areas. Previously, Ms. VanEvery worked with Provident Life & Accident Insurance, where she specialized in client relations and account management. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from San Diego State University.

Mr. Campbell joined DoubleLine in 2013. He is a Portfolio Manager for the DoubleLine Global Bond Strategy and is a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee. He covers Developed Markets, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMEA), and China. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Campbell worked for Peridiem Global Investors as a Global Fixed Income Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. Previous to that, he was with Nuveen Investment Management Company, first as a Quantitative Analyst in their Risk Management and Portfolio Construction Group, then as a Vice President in their Taxable Fixed Income Group. Mr. Campbell also worked at John Hancock Financial as an Investment Analyst. He holds a BS in Business Economics and International Business, as well as a BA in English, from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Campbell holds an MA in Mathematics, with a focus on Mathematical Finance, from Boston University.
Mr. Casino joined DoubleLine in 2014 on the Global Developed Credit team. Prior to DoubleLine, he worked at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management in high yield credit research, most recently as a Vice President. Mr. Casino holds a BA in Economics from Yale University and is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Chen joined DoubleLine at its inception in 2009. He is a Portfolio Manager leading the CMBS/CRE Debt Investment team and CRE New Investment Review Group, and is responsible for the oversight and management of all CRE Debt related investments at DoubleLine. Mr. Chen is a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation and Structured Products Committees providing valued insight into the CMBS sector. He is also an active participant and speaker at CREFC events. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Chen was a Vice President at TCW where he was responsible for CMBS credit analysis and trading from 2004-2009. He holds a BS in Business Administration with concentrations in Business Development and Finance from the University of California, Riverside.
Mr. Cho joined DoubleLine in 2013. He is a Portfolio Manager responsible for the CMBS credit platform at DoubleLine and participates in the CRE New Investment Review Group. Prior to DoubleLine, he was an Investment Associate at H/2 Capital Partners covering a broad range of real estate credit opportunities. Previous to that, Mr. Cho worked in real estate acquisitions as a Director at Jamison Properties and began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lehman Brothers. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Cho is a member of the Founder’s Circle of SPIRE (Stanford Professionals in Real Estate).
Mr. Christensen joined DoubleLine in 2009 as a Portfolio Manager and Co-Director of Corporate Research on the Emerging Markets Fixed Income team. He is a contributing member on the Fixed Income Asset Allocation committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Christensen was a Managing Director at TCW since 1991, where he had been involved in building and managing TCW’s Emerging Markets Fixed Income business, including Trading, Marketing, Credit Research, and Portfolio Management. He holds a B.S. in Business Management with an emphasis in International Finance from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Cohen joined DoubleLine’s Global Developed Credit (“GDC”) Group in 2012. He is a Portfolio Manager and the Director of the GDC group. He is also a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Cohen was a Senior Credit Analyst at West Gate Horizons Advisors (and its predecessor ING Capital Advisors) where he worked as an Analyst covering bank loans and high yield bonds. Prior to ING, he was an Assistant Vice President in the Asset Management Group of Union Bank where he managed a diversified portfolio of leveraged loans as well as a portfolio of CDO securities. Previous to Union Bank, he was an Associate Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at the Bank of Montreal in its Natural Resources Group. Mr. Cohen holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Contes joined DoubleLine in 2013. He is Chairman of the Responsible Investment Advisory Committee and leads the firmwide Responsible Investment initiative and the DoubleLine Responsible Investment Team. In addition, Mr. Contes is a Portfolio Manager on the Global Infrastructure Investments team. Previously, Mr. Contes was a Corporate Analyst responsible for the coverage of transportation, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors for the Emerging Markets Fixed Income group. Prior to DoubleLine, he was a Corporate Research Analyst at ICE Canyon, where he contributed to the investment management of the firm’s three types of Emerging Markets and global vehicles: hedge fund (absolute return), index products (relative value) and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Previous to ICE Canyon, he was a Senior Bank Debt Specialist with Canyon Capital Advisors, where he was responsible for the settlement of foreign and distressed bank debt transactions. Prior to that, he was a Senior Fund Accountant with Mellon Financial Corporation, overseeing Emerging Markets Real Estate funds and Oil & Gas Debt and Royalty funds. Mr. Contes holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting & Finance from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Ms. Entina joined DoubleLine in 2019. She is a Portfolio Manager on the Global Developed Credit Team and is also a Corporate sector specialist on DoubleLine’s Responsible Investment Team, overseeing and monitoring the Responsible Investment integration for the Global Developed Credit team. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Entina was an Investment Research Analyst at Pacific Life where she covered transportation, aerospace & defense, automotive OEMs, captive finance, auto parts suppliers, diversified manufacturing, and infrastructure credit. Previous to Pacific Life, she was a Portfolio Analyst at Capital Group. Prior to that, Ms. Entina was an Associate at KPMG, LLP. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Entina is also a licensed CPA, CFA® charterholder, SASB FSA Credential Holder, and has earned the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
Mr. Garza joined DoubleLine in 2009. He is a Portfolio Manager overseeing both the Macro-Asset Allocation and CLO teams. He is a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation and the Structured Product Committees. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Garza was a Senior Vice President at TCW where he held several positions over his tenure there. Prior to TCW, he worked at Union Bank of California in the Commercial Banking Group where he was involved with corporate loan underwriting. Mr. Garza holds a BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Ho joined DoubleLine in 2009 as an Emerging Markets Sovereign Analyst. She is now a Portfolio Manager for the DoubleLine Global Bond strategy covering Latin America and Emerging Asia excluding China. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Ho was an Assistant Vice President at TCW, where her responsibilities included analyzing Multi-Asset Fixed Income and CDO investments. Previous to TCW, she worked as a Paraplanner for Ameriprise Financial. Ms. Ho holds a BS in Mathematics/Economics and a Specialization in Computer Programming from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Hsu joined DoubleLine at its inception in 2009. He is a Portfolio Manager for the DoubleLine Total Return and ABS/Infrastructure Income strategies. Mr. Hsu is a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation and Structured Products Committees. Prior to that, he was responsible for analysis and trading of structured products, where his focus included residential MBS and ABS transactions. Mr. Hsu’s responsibilities have also included structuring and negotiating terms on new-issue transactions and forming strategic partnerships with issuing entities in order to participate in key transactions. Prior to DoubleLine, he worked at TCW from 2002, where he focused on credit analysis for structured product securities and co-managed two structured product funds centered on debt and equity investments. During that time, Mr. Hsu was actively involved with portfolio management decisions and investment analysis, including reverse engineering complex CDO/CLO structures. He holds a BS in Finance from the University of Southern California and is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Kenney joined DoubleLine in 2013 on the Global Developed Credit team and has been a Portfolio Manager since 2018. Prior to DoubleLine, he worked at Crescent Capital where he was a Vice President with a focus on high yield bonds and leveraged loans. Mr. Kenney began his career at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management where he was also a Vice President. Mr. Kenney holds a B.A. in History, cum laude from Yale University and is a CFA® charterholder.
Ms. Koo joined DoubleLine in 2009 as an Emerging Markets Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and Co-Director of Corporate Research. She is also a member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Koo was a Senior Vice President associated with TCW since 1998. In addition to credit analysis, she was involved in marketing and, beginning in 2006, performed increasing portfolio management duties. Previous to TCW, Ms. Koo was an Assistant Treasurer at Société Générale involved in Corporate Finance and prior to that, was an Assistant Vice President with Bank of America in the Financial Institutions Group. Ms. Koo holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Houston and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Lau joined DoubleLine in 2009. He is a Strategist on the Fixed Income Asset Allocation (FIAA) Committee and a contributing member on the Global Asset Allocation and Macro Committees. Mr. Lau is a Portfolio Manager on DoubleLine’s strategic commodity strategy while working in portfolio management and trading for derivatives-based and multi-asset strategies, including DoubleLine's Shiller Enhanced CAPE®, Shiller Enhanced International CAPE®, Real Estate and Income, and Multi-Asset Trend strategies. He also co-hosts the Sherman Show (Twitter @ShermanShowPod, ShermanShow@Doubleline.com) and Monday Morning Minutes (Twitter @DLineMinutes, Minutes@Doubleline.com) podcasts. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Lau was a Vice President at TCW where he worked under Jeffrey Gundlach as a Research Analyst in the Mortgage Group. He holds a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
Mr. Liberman joined DoubleLine in 2009. He is part of the Portfolio Management and Trading team, specializing in trading mortgages and mortgage credit securities. Mr. Liberman is also a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, he was a Vice President at TCW, where he worked in portfolio management and trading. Mr. Liberman holds a BS from California State University at Northridge as well as an M.S. in Applied Mathematics. He is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Mayberry joined DoubleLine in 2009. He is a Portfolio Manager on DoubleLine’s strategic commodity strategy while working in portfolio management and trading for derivatives‐based and multi‐asset strategies. Mr. Mayberry is a Strategist on the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee and a contributing member on our Global Asset Allocation and Macro committees. He also co-hosts DoubleLine’s weekly Monday Morning Minutes (Twitter @DLineMinutes, Minutes@Doubleline.com) podcast. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Mayberry was a Senior Vice President at TCW for nine years within the Mortgage Group, where he specialized in portfolio and fund monitoring and analytics. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College and an M.S. in Financial Engineering from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
Mr. Mew joined DoubleLine in 2019 as a Portfolio Manager on the Global Developed Credit team. Prior to DoubleLine, he was the Head of Research for the US CLOs at BlueMountain Capital Management. Previous to BlueMountain, Mr. Mew was a Principal and Senior Credit Analyst for over seven years at The Carlyle Group where he served on the Credit Committee for US Structured Credit. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Oaktree Capital Management and an Analyst at JPMorgan. Mr. Mew holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
Ms. Padilla joined DoubleLine in 2009 as the Director of the Emerging Markets Fixed Income team and is the lead Portfolio Manager. In addition, she is a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Padilla was a Managing Director at TCW. She began working at TCW in 1994, where she served in a number of roles including Credit Analyst, Director of Research, Co-Portfolio Manager, and lead Portfolio Manager. Ms. Padilla was involved in all aspects of building and managing TCW’s Emerging Markets Fixed Income business including credit, securitization, trading and marketing. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, as a fellow of the Robert A. Toigo Foundation.
Mr. Patel joined DoubleLine in 2016 as a Mortgage Trader specializing in Agency RMBS and was later promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2021. Prior to DoubleLine, he worked as a Managing Director responsible for CMO and specified pool trading at Cantor Fitzgerald. Previous to Cantor, Mr. Patel worked as a CMO, ARMs and Specified Pool Trader and Deal Structurer at Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas and RBS Greenwich Capital. He holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University and is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Shinoda joined DoubleLine at inception in 2009. He is Chairman of the Structured Products Committee and oversees the non-Agency RMBS team specializing in investing in non-Agency mortgage-backed securities, residential whole loans and other mortgage-related opportunities. Mr. Shinoda is co-Portfolio Manager on the Total Return, Opportunistic Income, Income, Opportunistic MBS and Strategic MBS strategies. He is also lead Portfolio Manager overseeing the Mortgage Opportunities private funds. Mr. Shinoda is also a permanent member of the Fixed Income Asset Allocation Committee, as well as, participating in the Global Asset Allocation Committee. In addition, he hosts DoubleLine’s “Channel 11 News” (Twitter @DLineChannel11, dline11@doubleline.com), a webcast series that provides market insights and commentary with peers and industry experts. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Shinoda was Vice President at TCW where he worked in portfolio management and trading. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and is a CFA® charterholder.
Mr. Stack joined DoubleLine in 2015 as a Trader on the Non-Agency MBS and Whole Loans team. He was later promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2019, and is responsible for investments in Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), whole loans, mortgage related assets, and additionally focuses on financing and securitization activities related to performing and non-performing mortgage loan investments. Prior to DoubleLine, served as Managing Director of Research and Trading at Illumination Asset Management, LLC, where he pursued investments within an opportunistic mortgage credit strategy. Previous to Illumination, Mr. Stack was Managing Director and Treasurer at Private National Mortgage Acceptance Company, LLC (“PennyMac”), where he was responsible for financing and liquidity management across a $2.4 billion gross asset complex that included levered investments in non-performing loans, mortgage-servicing rights, and correspondent GSE loan originations. Prior to PennyMac, Mr. Stack was Senior Vice President at Countrywide Securities Corporation where he structured in excess of $70 billion of securitizations as lead structurer for the distressed residential and commercial real estate trading desks. Mr. Stack holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Yale University.
Mr. Stanbrook joined DoubleLine in 2019. He is a Portfolio Manager responsible for the CRE loan platform as well as DoubleLine’s CRE CLO portfolios. Mr. Stanbrook is also a CRE sector specialist on DoubleLine’s Responsible Investment Team, overseeing and monitoring the Responsible Investment integration framework for the CMBS/CRE group. Prior to DoubleLine, he was a Principal and Chief Credit Officer with Narrative Capital Management. Previous to that, Mr. Stanbrook was a Vice President at Colony Capital with day-to-day oversight of origination and underwriting for a $3b bridge lending platform. He began his career in Origination & Acquisitions roles at Karlin Asset Management/Calmwater Capital. Mr. Stanbrook holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
Mr. Wald joined DoubleLine in 2009. He is a Portfolio Manager on the Non-Agency MBS team and is responsible for investments in Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), whole loans, and mortgage related assets. Prior to being promoted to Portfolio Manager, Mr. Wald was a Trader responsible for trading and analysis of mortgage credit securities and residential whole loans. He started at DoubleLine as an Analyst on the Risk team focused on structured products, specifically non-agency MBS and asset-backed securities. Prior to DoubleLine, Mr. Wald worked at TCW in the Mortgage Group. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Ms. Wong joined DoubleLine in 2009. She is Portfolio Manager on the Global Infrastructure Investment and Asset-Backed Securities team. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Wong was an Assistant Vice President at TCW where she was a Structured Products Risk Analyst. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics/Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Zhang joined DoubleLine in 2016 as an Analyst, later transitioning to her current role as Portfolio Manager on the Global Sovereign Debt team. She is responsible for researching, managing and trading U.S. Government securities, municipal bonds, and derivatives. Prior to DoubleLine, Ms. Zhang was a Senior Performance Analyst with Nuveen Investments. Previous to that, she held investment analyst positions with Wilmington Trust and Continental Assets Management. Ms. Zhang holds a B.A. and an M.S. from Dongbei University of Finance & Economics, an MBA from Pepperdine University and is a CFA® charterholder.
